Booking Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all reservations made with CAAP SRL Trading as Surfers Bay. By confirming a reservation, guests agree to the policies outlined below.

Reservations
Reservations may be made through our website or authorised booking partners. A reservation is confirmed once a confirmation email has been issued. We welcome special requests, including bedding configuration, room location, or specific room numbers. However, we can’t guarantee these requests and they don’t form part of the reservation contract. Guest information may be processed in accordance with the Surfers Bay Privacy Policy available on our website.

Rates & Taxes
Room rates are quoted in US dollars unless otherwise stated. All rates are subject to applicable taxes and government levies, including 10% Value Added Tax (VAT) and the Government Room Rate Levy per room per night. The Barbados government sets government taxes, levies, and service charges, which may change without notice. Guests will be responsible for any increases.

Deposits & Payment
A 50% deposit is required to secure a reservation. The remaining balance will be charged 14 days prior to arrival. Payments may be processed through third-party platforms, including Fygaro Pay By Link, wire transfer or using the credit card you provide during the booking process. Please note that all credit card payments are subject to a 3.1% credit card fee. A pre-authorisation will be taken at check-in, equal to USD100 per night of your stay. All incidental charges incurred during the stay will be settled using the credit card on file.

Cancellation Policy
Refunds, where applicable, will be issued to the original payment method and will be less non-refundable credit card or bank processing fees.

Guests may cancel a reservation within 24 hours of booking for a full refund, provided the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before arrival.

After the 24-hour booking window:

• Cancellations made 14 days or more before arrival will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made less than 14 days before arrival will incur a charge of 100% of the reservation total.

Festive Season (December 21 – January 6)

• Cancellations made 30 days or more before arrival will receive a full refund less administrative fees.
• Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will incur a charge of 100% of the reservation total.

Cancellations must be submitted by email to info@surfersbay.com and are only valid once a cancellation confirmation number has been issued.

No Shows & Early Departure
Guests who do not arrive on the scheduled check-in date will be considered a no-show, and the full reservation amount will be charged. Guests who choose to depart earlier than the confirmed departure date will not be eligible for a refund for unused nights.

Severe Weather & Travel Disruptions
In the event of severe weather, hurricanes or other circumstances beyond our control that prevent travel, Surfers Bay may issue a credit voucher equal to the monetary value of the reservation. Credits may be used to reschedule the stay within 18 months of the original booking, subject to availability. Guests are strongly encouraged to purchase comprehensive travel insurance.

Check In & Check Out
Check-in time is 3:00 PM, and check-out time is 11:00 AM. Early check in may be available depending on availability, please inquire 24 hours prior. Late check-out until 5:00 PM may be arranged 7 days prior to your departure for a fee of US $100. A valid government-issued ID and a credit card may be required at check-in for identification and incidental charges.

Amenities, Personal Property & Parking
Each guest room is equipped with a safe for valuables. Surfers Bay is not responsible for the loss, theft or damage of personal belongings. Complimentary WiFi is available in guest rooms. Beach towels are provided in rooms and may be exchanged at reception. Parking is available on the property for registered guests, and vehicles are parked at the owner's risk. All rooms are non-smoking and non-vaping. Smoking in rooms will result in a cleaning fee of US $400.

Accessibility
Surfers Bay is not wheelchair accessible. Upper floor rooms are accessed by stairs and some rooms are split level. Guests with accessibility requirements should contact us prior to booking.

Health & Safety
Surfers Bay management are trained in First Aid and CPR. Guests should notify reception promptly if an accident or injury occurs on the property and inform staff of any serious allergies or medical conditions.

Events & Live Music
On Sunday our beach bar hosts one of the island’s well known reggae nights. Entry is free for in-house guests and music continues into the evening, so light sleepers may wish to bring earplugs or enquire about quieter nights when booking.

Pool Use & Beach Access
The swimming pool is available for use by registered guests in daylight hours only. There is no lifeguard on duty and guests use the pool at their own risk. Children must be supervised at all times.

Surfers Bay is located on an open coastline and ocean conditions can vary depending on weather, tides and seasonal currents. Swimming and ocean activities are undertaken at the guest’s own risk, and guests should exercise caution before entering the water.

Occupancy & Children
Room occupancy limits apply: Studio Rooms & Junior Suites – maximum 2 guests, Master Suites – maximum 4 guests, and one child. Children are welcome at Surfers Bay, however parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children at all times, particularly around the swimming pool, bar and ocean areas. Children must not be left unattended in rooms or anywhere on the property.

Third Party Services
Excursions, tours and activities arranged through third party providers are not operated by Surfers Bay and the resort accepts no responsibility for their operation or safety.

Relocation
In the unlikely event that accommodation becomes unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, Surfers Bay reserves the right to relocate guests to comparable accommodation.

Guest Conduct & Property Policies
Only registered guests are permitted in guest rooms, and unregistered visitors are not permitted on the property. Surfers Bay reserves the right to refuse admission or remove guests whose behaviour is disruptive, unsafe or unlawful. Guests are responsible for any damage to hotel property, lost hotel property, and noise complaints caused by themselves or their guests. The cost to repair, replace, relocate or compensate will be charged to the credit card on file.

Surfers Bay operates licensed food and beverage facilities, and alcohol is served in accordance with local laws and responsible service practices. Management reserves the right to refuse service to intoxicated guests or guests whose behaviour may endanger themselves or others.

Changes to Terms
Surfers Bay reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. The terms applicable to a reservation will be those in effect at the time the booking is confirmed. These terms are governed by the laws of Barbados.
